Known as Blackbird, the SR-71 was a US Air Force (USAF) long-range strategic reconnaissance aircraft that served between 1964 and 1998. Operating at high altitude (24,000m) and cruising at speeds of Mach 3.2, it could simply outrun surface-to-air missiles! The SR-71 was developed as a black project by the Lockheed Skunk Works. A total of 32 aircraft were built, and as testament to its effectiveness, none were ever lost in combat despite being fired on 4,000 times. However, twelve Blackbirds were lost to accidents. Much of the airframe is made of titanium in order to address the issue of high temperatures created by supersonic speeds. The panels were designed for thermal expansion, meaning on the ground they only fitted loosely, before reaching proper alignment in flight. The SR-71 holds the record for the fastest air-breathing manned aircraft when it attained a speed of 3529km/h, propelled by its Pratt & Whitney J58-P4 engines. The SR-71 was used extensively in combat in the skies over Vietnam and Laos, and throughout the course of its career this revolutionary aircraft completed 17,300 sorties. Display stand included.

This 4x4 heavy car served in all theaters of WWII. The original Type 1a had four-wheel steering, while the later Type 1b produced from 1940 onwards had regular front-wheel steering. This vehicle possessed four-wheel drive, but production ceased in 1941 as part of German efforts to standardize production. The personnel carrier was powered by a V8 Horch engine of 3.823-litre capacity. Dragon Armor?s 1/72 scale miniature version naturally makes use of 100% new toolings. The open-topped body containing three bench seats (able to accommodate five passengers and the driver) is full of detail. Even the tread pattern on the floor plate is replicated! There is also an MG34 machine gun provided on a pintle mount for antiaircraft duties. The model beautifully captures the look and stance of the 4x4 heavy car. The vehicle is finished in the standard Panzer gray color of German vehicles from the early-war period, while small details like the WH license plate are also present. This Dragon military plastic and diecast model is fully assembled, true to 1/72 scale from a fully accurate mold, has historically accurate markings and insignias, and includes a protective display case.

Highly detailed 1/35 scale assembly model kit of the Sd.Kfz. 165 (Panzerfeldhaubitze 18M auf Gesch?tzwagen III/IV (Sf) Hummel), a World War II German self-propelled artillery gun. The Sd.kfz.165 Hummel ("Bumble Bee") was designed based on the Gesch?tzwagen III/IV chassis with one 15 cm sFH 18 L/30 howitzer mounting on an open-topped lightly-armored fighting compartment at the back of the vehicle. A crew of six (one driver and five gun crewmen) is generally needed to operate the Hummel, and the type had a maximum load of 18 rounds. The Hummel first participated in large scale combat at the Battle of Kursk in 1943, and continue to be employed by the German Wehrmacht until the end of the war. Model kit features: New scale-thickness fighting compartment armor has extra-thin top edge. Fighting compartment armor detailed both inside and out. Photo-etched parts for fine detail on reverse armor surfaces. Fighting compartment rear door can be assembled open/closed. Additional photo-etched parts to represent undercut bolt detail. Newly tooled storage box for propellant charges realistically reproduced. Ammunition box is new with photo-etched detail. Ammunition box can be assembled open/closed to reveal interior detail. Aluminum gun barrel with hollow end. Gun can elevate to different angles. Gr.19 and Gr.19 Schwere Betongranate (concrete-piercing) rounds included as bonus. Driver?s housing newly reproduced. New lower hull made by 2-directional slide molds. Slide-molded exhaust pipes have hollow ends.
